Jeremy Bartram's Review of FAB Defense GL-CORE AR-15/M4 Skeleton Style Buttstock For Mil-Spec/Commercial Tubes

As stated in the title, I am quite pleased with this stock. I put it on a 10.5" Black Rain .300 SBR, and it seated like it was made for it (milspec buffer, but it also comes with parts to modify the stock to fit commercial spec buffer tubes). It is compact and light, and shoulders nicely with a good cheek weld, kind of like my B5 SOPMOD but after it went on a serious diet. I also like that the sling mount is placed up closer to the solid portion of the stock; I've had some previously where the mount point was place further down on the support structure (as it is on the GL-CORE S), and over time (and some fairly rough use/long hikes) those types tend to bend and eventually crack the plastic parts around the sling mount, especially with heavier/higher caliber rifles.

The only complaint I hava is that Optics Planet showed this item in stock, but didn't fill the order/place the item for shipment for over two weeks; but that is a complaint about this particular vendor and I did not want to take points away from this excellent and affordable product for that.
Pros:
  • Affordable
  • Compact & light
  • Solid well built
Cons:
  • None
