But, after installing it, I liked the added weight on the rear of the weapon, and have left it on the .556, and the 300 Black Out. The .308, and .50 Beowulf are heavy enough without it, but I use them on the table. They have a positive lock-up on the Mako Buttstock, and it is a Snap (no pun intended) to put on or take off. The push button release on the left side allows for a quick, course adjustment, and the knurled knob on the bottom does a good job on the fine adjustment. Installation / removal, takes all of 5-10 seconds. I bought 3 these this time, because I got tired of my Brother-in-law, "Borrowing" one all the time, so his birthday present is a sure fit! If you don't have a lead sled, etc, and use a bi-pod, I think you will use it, and like it as much as I do.
