Chamber out of spec - Faxon Firearms 10.5 inch Gunner Big Bore Profile .458 Socom Barrel

Used on my build .458 socom build. Finally got to test it at the range and had failure to chamber. The chamber lower lugs on the feed ramp were gouging into the bullet casing causing it to jam up into the lug corners. The bcg would slam to a stop against the rim of the bullet. Sent email to faxon with no response after a couple days. I removed the barrel to get a better look at the chamber. I took the bullet and aligned the gouge marks up with the feed ramp. To my disappointment I found the chamber feed ramp diameter was way too small. The bullet would not slide up the ramp at any angle as the bottom lugs would grab it. I decided to dermal the feed ramp lugs and polish it. I ended up removing a lot of material before a bullet would feed up the ramp with no obstruction or gouging. I reinstalled the the barrel hand cycled several round through with no problem clambering and ejecting. Now I gotta shoot it. I trust it will work but I'm just disappointed I had to do such a dramatic modification to thr barrel. Don't buy.
