Good quality for a great price - Faxon Firearms Smith & Wesson M&P Patriot Slide w/RMR Cut 1

I am a fan of Faxon Firearms products. They produce good quality at reasonable prices. This hand guard is no exception. The barrel nut is 30.24mm so you will need a 30mm crows foot wrench to attach. With that said every wrench manufacture had tolerances. I took the barrel nut to my local professional tool shop and they matched the nut to the wrench. This no name crows foot measured 30.5mm, shimmed it to 30.25mm and tighten down to 40 Ft. Lbs per the Faxon site. There are no instructions in this kit, you have to search them on-line (https://faxonfirearms.com/blog/streamline-handguard-installation-instructions/). The attachment of the hand guard to the nut is a keyed nut. Seems very strong and stable. This has receiver alignment tabs and on my square marked upper it got me close, still set them on the rail and snugged done the allen bolt and then checked visually. lastly the pistol length gas block sits under the third m-lock slot from the front, the Faxon gas block will not allow the install of a m-lock nut, not enough clearance.
