Finally something that works - Federal Premium BYOB .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire 50 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point Rimfire Ammunition

For some time now I have been looking for a WMR that works in semi-autos like the Keltec PMR-30 and the Rock Island XT-22. I have been through every manufacturer and played with various grain values with little success in eliminating jams, misfeeds, duds and failures to fully eject spent casings. Most all manufacturers ammo work when the weapon is clean and lubricated but get a few rounds down range and the operation slows down and at times just stops. On a lark I ordered a bottle (yes bottle) of the Federal Premium BYOB .22 WMR 50 gr JHP.

What a difference! 200 rounds through each of two different weapons without a misfire, jam, dud or failure to eject. I had a couple of times the weapon did not lock open upon firing the last round in the mag but an XT-22 is not designed to do that anyway. An added bonus is that the cost is lower than any other WMR available from this vendor at the time ($.27/rd). WMR rounds are never cheap but this is the best price I found from any of the popular sources. So go get a bottle and enjoy the ride.
