First fenix - Fenix HP30R 1000/750 Lumen Headlamp

got this to replace a lost led lenser headlamp. (also a nice unit, but this is nicer). the fenix is really sweet, good levels, major battery, easy to adjust and comfortable. i may add a small neoprene pad between strap & forehead to further cushion and insulate. the cable to battery is burly and if you figure out the provided little clips, easy to route down your back and away from entanglements. instruction sheet assumes a level of competence.
this has become my go-to headlamp. i wear a lamp a lot in my shop. even tho it is brilliantly illuminated. i like having that spotlight on my immediate work surface. old guy eyes.
it will probably not get much speelunking or night-op use, but this is a solid unit.
