Fred Johnson's Review of FIREFIELD FF26021K IMPACT REFLEX W/45

This seems like a nice little red dot for a rimfire plinker. It is small, lightweight, and comes with a nice set of mounts so this could be put on a AR type rifle, traditional rifle, or a handgun. I bought the kit for my Browning Buckmark as the stand alone sight with short picatinny/weaver mount was out of stock.

Construction of the sight body is impressive and appears to be all aluminum casting. The battery hatch on the top of the sight opens up fairly easily using a U.S. Nickle as a screwdriver. Time will tell if the lens stays put with the mild cycling action of the Buckmark pistol.

This little Firefield Impact Mini has so much promise to be a great inexpensive red dot sight akin to the now ubiquitous Bushnell TRS-25. What the Impact Mini needs to make it better is a way to lock the elevation and windage adjustments. Until that time comes, you will need to use purple or blue Loctite in the screw thread holes in the sight body.

For sighting in, I recommend to turn the windage and elevation screws inwards about 1.5 to 2 turns and smear some Loctite into the threads in the body of the sight. Then zero your gun, but shoot your gun no more until the Loctite cures fully. Take your gun back out the next day and have some fun.
