Know what you are buying here... - FLIR Systems PathFindIR II Thermal Driver Vision Enhancement Camera

The FLIR PathfindIR II system you are looking at from Optics Planet, in order to save a little bit of money, is the export version. This version has a much slower frame rate, which is a noticeable difference and this was verified for me by FLIR. If you live in the U.S., don't care about having a choppy image on the display and prefer to save the $50 (or whatever the difference is), then knock yourself out! If you live outside of the U.S., then this is your only option. Optics Planet does not reveal this to you in their listing. Needless to say, I returned my PathfindIR immediately for a refund and purchased from a place identified on the FLIR website that starts with NA and ends in TV. Tony was very knowledgeable and I received great service from them. FLIR makes top quality products, so I want to make sure the product gets the five stars but if you are purchasing from Optics Planet, beware.

This is also the third strike in-a-row for me with Optics Planet. My last two attempts to purchase from Optics Planet the past were for scopes both times, where their website indicated that they had them in stock and could deliver within the timeframe that I needed them, only to receive an e-mail days later, letting me know in both cases that they didn't really have the scopes in stock and that it was going to be weeks/months before they did. This in turn left me without being able to acquire the scope I was after in both cases, in time for my hunting trips. Had I not gone down the Optics Planet route, I would have had them in time otherwise.
