Mark's Review of Fobus Paddle Compact Holster
This is one of 4 Fobus holsters that I own. While I like traditional leather holsters, they many times squeak while moving. Fobus holsters don't have that issue. Only the 24/7 Fobus holster for my Taurus was deemed unworkable as I couldn't , try as I may, reliably upholster my pistol, with reasonable force even after adjustment. No problems for the others such as this one for the 1911 compact. This one works pretty much as a jack slide holster and will also accommodate the commander and govt models as well. I also have the Fobus holster for the full size 1911 which offers full firearm protection of the slide.
Pros:
- Easy to draw but with excellent retention.
- Hugs as well as most leather rigs with out the leather squeak.
- Great ability to quickly slip on the sidearm with the paddle
