Most Helpful Positive Review Do your research
After reading these horrible reviews I did some research.... Clearly as it states on echos website.... You have to have a full auto bolt carrier for this to work. I'm betting the two one star reviewers didn't bother to do that as mine works just fine as I paid attention and sourced an old full auto ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Did not work in 4 AK's
Although the Echo AK is a quality built unit I could not get it to function in 4 different stamped receiver AK's. Those AK's are a Norinco AKS, a Lancaster Polish underfolder built on an Armory USA receiver, a Maadi ARM, and a Norinco Mak-90. The issue was the same in all 4 receivers. I believe upwa...

Absolutely love it

by King, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on September 30, 2025
I’ve got this trigger set up in my micro Draco, and I’m super happy with it! The design is super quick and easy to install. What I really love is the safety selector—it’s a lifesaver. I’ve only fired about 200 rounds so far and everything’s been smooth sailing.
Pros:
  • Easy to install
  • Design
  • Safety selector
Cons:
  • price
  • heavy trigger (as expected)
Best Used for:
  • Romanian AK

fostech echo ak47 trigger

by alaska hunter907, Verified Owner from AK, United States Written on January 11, 2025
Absolute garbage does NOT work I installed it in my century arms wasr 10. Which is a very common ak47. So I figured it would fit like every other aftermarket item I have tried on it. Installation went smoothly then it was time for a function test tried pulling the bolt back and it was really hard and got stuck half way on the pull and won’t pull back fully and is hard to push back forward. Failed all function tests!
I have email optic plant they said they only a supplier of the product and have no knowledge of the items they sell.
I have emailed fostech with the problem it took a week to get a response only response I got was a troubleshooting instructions which all required me to shave/file down the brand new trigger basically destroy it then maybe that will work type of solutions I HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT BUYING THIS PRODUCT WILL WASTE 400$ and get no HELP.!!

Gimmick product

by George, from TX, United States Written on December 1, 2024
Do yourself a favor and go with a good 3 lb trigger. This binary trigger is a joke I never use on the setting. Too much gas will make it self engage. I threw mine in the trash.

Easy install and functional.

by Matt, Verified Owner from ND, United States Written on April 14, 2023
Install was quick and straightforward, and dry fire testing proves that it works just fine. I do have two complaints, one functional and one specific to my unit:
In regards to function, the selector throw is way lighter than I'd like. Even when specifically moving it into Echo mode, it's far too easy to send it straight to semi or safe. A heavier selector spring would improve that.
The unit I received had some cosmetic damage before I even removed it from the packaging. The screw-in trigger piece had some of the finish damaged(you can see bright silver steel near the screw hole) and the selector plate looks like the edge was crushed and like someone used permanent marker to color in the steel(there's a distinct color difference on the damage).
Works as expected, so the cosmetic damage doesn't matter too much.
Pros:
  • It's as close as you can get to a proper select fire(for now)
Cons:
  • Might be some cosmetic QC problems and the selector is way lighter than a factory AK selector
Best Used for:
  • fun

cheap construction, but works so far (500 rounds)

by jenks, from OR, United States Written on March 31, 2023
put in psa ak-v after grinding 70% or mac bracket away to allow "drop in." the entire assembly is rickety and cheaply constructed from MIM parts. the hammer is already deeply impressioned from the firing pin and 2 buddies have had their same hammer break in half after less than 2k rounds in an AK-47 and a psa ak-v. for $500 that's not acceptable. this thing costs maybe $90 to produce 10,000 units, package them, and ship them. Fostech is making a killing off cheaply made components, when they could be making forged steel parts for maybe $130 a unit and really crushing it. anyway, I'm 500 rounds in. I plan to run this thing into the ground. I'll report back at either 5K rounds or when something breaks. -J
