Likestoshootalot's Review of GPS Metal Adjustable Target Stand
I've purchased 5 of these now and they work very well. I use cardboard cut to 24" wide(any size will work) and then paper silhouette targets 24" wide on that. I use the big paper binder clips to clip the cardboard and paper target to the vertical 1x2 boards. Often I staple smaller targets to the cardboard.
There are 4 holes in the frame for staking it to the ground. I bought some big nails/spikes but I don't usually need them since it's not too windy where we shoot. It would be easy to put a log or some sandbags on the frame if it was windy too.
There are springy metal tabs in each hole where the 1x2 is inserted. These tabs keep pressure on the 1x2 so the frame doesn't fall off when the target is picked up or moved. To pull the 1x2s out, I put my foot on the frame and pull up on the 1x2, they don't just fall off. I put a little bevel on the ends of the 1x2s so they are easy to insert into the frame.
I was going to weld up some stands, but it would be tough to make one for less and better quality than these. These are adjustable and have a nice painted finish. I'm sure there are other good stands out there, but these do everything I need them to do. It's a good buy in my opinion.
