CheezyRiderAZ's Review of G-Sight Raven Laser Sight
I bought this laser for a Mossberg Shockwave.
I liked the design and construction of this laser, all aluminum, seems pretty weather resistant. Even tho it's a little large, I wanted a something that didn't use button/ watch batteries.
The fact that it came with the mount AND a separate momentary pressure switch, along with the price meant I could order it in green, which is more expensive but easier for the human eye to pick up than red.
After mounting, before I could even finish initial adjustments, the switch started acting funny.
After turning on the laser (constant on) it would only come on if I held slight pressure on the switch, kind of like a momentary switch.
A momentary switch is not feasible for my application unless I can find a convenient place to mount the included remote pressure switch.
I haven't even shot it yet so it's not due to recoil.
I double checked the instructions and yes it is a constant on switch.
The green laser emitted is VERY bright and VERY visible, just won't stay on like it's supposed to.
I REALLY like this laser and I hope I can just replace the tailswitch in which case I'll be updating this review......
