For those looking to dry fire against a laser target, you must have a gun that has a striker that does not rest on the primer after you pull the trigger. If you hammer or striker rest on the primer, the laser will stay lit. This causes the target to not register you hits or to register multiple hits as your light moves across the target. This was a big problem for my SAA Colt as the Hammer rested on the primer. For most striker fired weapons this should not be an issue as the striker should just tap the primer and let off. The surefire laser is the only on that give options for both always on and one quick pulse per strike.
