DonH's Review of Galati Gear Over Shoulder Rifle Mag Pouch 9mm

This item was shipped quickly by Optics Planet and was well packaged. The price is great for what you get so Optics Planet gets full 5 Stars for it’s part. Galati would get 10 if I could give it. The shoulder mag pouch carrier is sturdy, well-stitched, and I love the metal D-rings and snaplinks, not like the cheap plastic you get on other brands. The pockets are deep enough to easily hold the 35 round Magpul 9MM mags for my CZ Scorpion and the Velcro closure is tight and secure. Now the best part: There are 4 pockets on each side to hold a total of 8 mags or roughly 240 rounds, right? Wrong! Each pocket will actually fit 2 high capacity 9mm stick mags. See photos. If you really want to, you can carry 16 (!) mags for a total of 480 rounds! Even stacked 2 per pocket, the mags insert and remove easily and stay secure with or without the Velcro flap. Great job Galati on a relatively inexpensive and excellent product that does far more than expected! I haven’t carried these much yet but I don’t expect much trouble with them. They look and feel sturdy, and if you’re using these for carrying loaded mags to the range or even on a shooting course, I would expect it will hold up well.
Pros:
  • Sturdy stitching and d-rings/snaplinks, good quality material, AWESOME capacity - double the advertised capacity.
Cons:
  • Do not see any yet.
Best Used for:
  • Storing/carrying loaded mags for range days and for action shooting courses.
