This is my second Galco Ankle Glove holster. The first one I bought years ago for a Kahr PM9 fit well from the very start with only a little effort to get it broken in. This one for an S%W Shield was so tight the handgun would only go in about halfway. I tried the recommendation to put the pistol in plastic bags and it still wouldn't go in. I was on the verge of returning it, but decided to try a few things on my own. I warmed the inside with a hair dryer. That helped some. I then put it over a tea kettle and let some steam warm up the inside. After a lot of effort I finally have it lossened up to just barely get the strap snapped. It is still very tight and needs more work, but I see light at the end of the tunnel.
