Best leather holster out there with closest fit for colt python. - Galco Phoenix Strongside/Crossdraw Belt Holster

The Galco PHX106 Phoenix holster will fit the Colt King Cobra perfectly, there is somewhat of a struggle getting the Colt Python to also fit, because the frame is larger. The holster is not a one size fits all, so if you want the Python to fit, the Galco body of the holster is the easiest part to work in, but twisting and stretching the leather snap straps where the metal snap fittings will come together without doing any damage to them can be a bit of a struggle. Galco has generously offered to help fit my holster, because on the same holsters owned by others I have seen the lacquer finish applied to the surface of the holster crack, flake and chip in the process, and not look very good. I am very appreciative that Galco and their Custom Shop have offered to help. As an interesting side note, Safariland makes the # 111 Bianchi Cyclone holster that does fit the Python, without any stretching, but the thumb-snap metal fittings fit too loose, and they won't fix them. That is why the Galco PHX106 Phoenix is the most reasonable and practical choice.
