Galco silhouette high ride holster - left hand for my xdm 40 - Galco Silhouette High Ride Holster for Glock 17, Leather

I have owned my Galco SIL225 Silhouette High Ride Holster - Left Hand - for my XDM 40 for over a year now. For a while after I bought it, I was not in love with it. The quality of this holster is great, it is very comfortable, and it secures the weapon as it should, however, as a left handed shooter there are very few options for the Springfield XDM pistols, or at least there were fewer at the time I purchased it. The only gripe I have is that the pistol hangs too far off to the side of the body making it very difficult to use as a concealment holster. I use a very good quality gun belt as well. What I have done to correct this issue is to weave the belt over the front of the holster which keeps the gun close to the body and can be easily concealed with even a T-shirt. This does not affect the performance of the holster either. The gun draws and holsters perfectly using this configuration. So with this in mind, yes, it's a great holster but maybe consider a IWB if concealment is your intent. I figured I would try to make this work for me since I already bought it and it does work with the modification of weaving the belt over the front of the holster. Hope this helps. Be safe.
