I purchased this holster specifically for the range and training classes to be worn on the belt. The holster seems well made and has adjustable retention. It would also make a good concealed carry holster when worn with a coat, light jacket or another cover garment. I would not recommend for open carry because the lack of retention device. I would recommend as part of your carry system.
