Expert Review Yippee ki yay - Galco VHS Vertical Leather System Holster

Let's be clear, I bought this holster for the same reason I bought my WC 92G. Nostalgia. Die Hard is one of my favorite movies.

That being said, this holster exceeded my expectations and impressed me.

Very well made from the quality of the beautiful material to the robustness of the stitching.

A shoulder holster is a niche way to carry but if you need to do it, then I couldn't imagine doing it with anything less than the Galco VHS. If you have issues carrying a gun on your waistline, due to medical or environmental constraints, then this is a great alternative.

The harness is adjustable for fit and comfort. I am 6'3" and over 200lbs but had zero issues getting a proper fit. The tie downs and holster strap use pull the dot snaps which keeps everything in place until you intentionally remove it.

The included instructions not only help you setup the holster but has information regarding the drawstroke. This isnt my first shoulder holster but i appreciated the additional information as it had some differences from the methods I had previously used.

A shoulder holster isn't meant for speedy draws, but I was very happy that this holster provided consistent draws as well as reholstering. Even for a "fresh" leather holster, i did not experience the gun binding against the material in even the slightest.
