Dennis.33 - Garmin eTrex H GPS Digital Navigation 010-00631-00

I had another brand that broke two days befor I went on a hunting trip. The Garmin e-Trex H was a last minute purchase. The first day of hunting I sat on deer stand reading the manual. I have found if you use a boy scout compass with this basic GPS you will find it very useful. It will get a fix under the heaviest tree cover in any weather. My hunting buddy can radio his location and I know how far and what direction to meet him. I have followed the GPS to the truck right to the spot I took the waypoint from.
Pros: very basic but very fast and accurate
Cons: does not give direction in degrees but in a compass rose heading
