I bought an original Mod1 when they first came out and it is a great product. The compact model follows in it's footsteps but the finish on the parts is not anywhere close. The parts look and feel like a matte black paint that might not last. This new Mod1 doesn't have the precision feel of the early original that I have. I like the design. The workmanship used to be much better. I wish the execution was better - it certainly feels cost reduced at a premium price.

- design, compact size

- poor finish with cheap paint
