Inside the barrel was filthy - Griffin Armament Griffin 223 Wylde HEDP Barrel w/Gas Block

I ordered this barrel and when it arrived it was well packaged and both ends of the barrel were capped. Looking at the exterior of the barrel it was flawless, but when I pulled the caps to check the rifling the barrel was filthy I had to clean the barrel extensively and use 20 + bore clothes with carbon remover till I was satisfied. I have not shot one round through this barrel yet, but for a 300+ dollar barrel I would expect it to be clean. Check your barrels before you install them is all I can say.
