Seems well made - Grivel G1 Ice Axe

Item is light weight but well made. I bought this for doing some back country hiking at Glacier National Park and I believe if needed this could save me, hoping I don't find out. I really like the bright yellow handle so it is easy to see and grab. It doesn't come with a strap so you might want to think about getting one. It was packaged well for shpiping as well and arrived in great condition. Teeth on the ice axe seem a little blunt so thinking of taking a file to them just to give the teeth a bit more of am edge. I do like the finger notches to help grip the axe while walking and looks like they could save some chewing up of my gloves too. All and all this seems to be a good beginner ice axe.
