Pricey, but does what it says - Gun Storage Solutions Rifle Rod Starter Kit, Pack of 20

I have thought about purchasing the gun rods for a while, but feel that they are overpriced for what they are. Well, I still believe they are overpriced, but they do what the advertise. I have a 24 gun gun safe, which we all know means about 14 guns, unless you have all open sight rifles. Anyhow, I was short fitting 4 guns in it after an inheritance. I priced out what it would take, just dollar wise, to purchase some materials and make some. Not counting time it was about $15 more to purchase them from Optics Planet (least expensive place I found), so I bit the bullet and tried them. I was able to make room for the 4 extra guns and have room for 1 or 2 more. They are also more organized and easier to retrieve, especially ones to the rear of the safe. I had to modify a couple of the rods due to rifle length and/or shelf height. I even took a belt sander and modified a .22 cal. rod to fit my .17 HMR instead of buying a pack of two separate rods for one gun. Long story short, pricey or not they do their job.
