Quality shroud - Guntec USA AR-15 Slip Over Barrel Shroud w/Multi Port Muzzle Brake

This is a nice little product. I purchased when installing a 12-inch hand guard on my carbine length AR. I was shooting for this product to slide about an inch underneath the hand guard, but clearly my measurements were off. The end of the shroud meets up almost exactly with the end of the hand guard. If you are looking to have an extended under your hand guard, I would go with a minimum 13 inch hand guard on a 16 inch barrel. The item is well built, but being aluminum, I did use anti-seize on the threads. Can’t wait to hit the range.
