Most Helpful Positive Review Good simple sling
1st if have two other slings to compare this to. Vickers padded single point and a Crosstac bungee. I like all three of these slings. This is a very simple design and functional. When you carry a lot of gear and have a lot going on at once having something simple to operate make life easy. This may ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Good concept, terrible execution
I bought one of these from the manufacturer a while back. It transitions from a 2 to a 1 point sling just fine. It is also fairly comfortable. However, the adjustments function like absolute garbage. Sure you can loosen it, but you have to strain to tighten it back up. This is due to the material u...

Its okay at best

by A K, from WA, United States Written on March 31, 2020
I put this on a b&t pcc. Sling folds up nicely for storage. Its an okay product, I did keep it. Unfortunately this sling doesn't adjust very well. Its also an expensive piece of kit. That being said, spend your money on a Vickers sling. They feel, and function better.
Pros:
  • Comfortable
  • Looks cool
Cons:
  • Expensive
Best Used for:
  • Larping

Pretty good

by kennungesser, from OH, United States Written on July 21, 2019
Not sure what to compare it with. Once adjusted, it is pretty comfortable. It loosens up nice and quick, however to retighten is a bit cumbersome. I'm left handed so that COULD be the issue there not sure. Also, it may have to "brake in" perhaps? Not as fast to adjust on the fly as I have seen others do it, but then again I haven't had much time behind the gun yet while using this sling. Time will tell. I gave it 5 stars because it is VERY secure when going hands free and just walking around, seems MUCH better made than some of the other non adjustable slings I have and is easy to stow in the case without removing it from the gun. Could be about 10 bucks cheaper though.

lightweight, but flawed.

by Jacob Drain, from OK, United States Written on April 19, 2019
It’s an expensive sling and like others stated think you paying more for the name. The stitching is well done and the metal pieces won’t break like other brand plastic ones. It’s loosens smoothly, where you run into the problems is the fabric being light and thin. The sling won’t tighten without some force, it binds. The loop is only good for quick loosening of the sling. The QD are ok, wide loops and takes practice to get them to “quick detach” quickly.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Looks cool
  • dragonfly logo HSP
  • metal pieces
Cons:
  • Limited adjustability
  • binds
  • thin strap
Best Used for:
  • Airsoft
  • recreation shooting
  • Larping

Best sling ever

by Melissa, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on October 1, 2018
The D3 is the best sling I've ever had. It is very well thought out. The fit and finish are excellent. Travis Haley has a video that gives you details about the sling and tells you how to set it up. Definitely watch that. Yes, it's a little pricey but worth it. I will be buying a second one soon.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • No plastic components to break
Cons:
  • price

Sling should be modified

by D3 sling, from NY, United States Written on April 18, 2018
Loosing the sling is easy, tightening it is difficult. I own magpul slings, Viking tactical slings and I’m still going to use the Viking tactics, because nothing beats it yet. I’m surprised that the Haley strategic d3 sling had this issue, because they have well made products.
Pros:
  • light weight
  • 2 point to 1 point
Cons:
  • Difficult to tighten sling
Best Used for:
  • Rifles

Feels better than it functions.

by StoryTime, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on January 8, 2018
I ordered two of these. I purchased because I'd been wanting this sling for awhile but I couldn't justify the purchase given its original price. Luckily Optics Planet had a promo code for 15% off slings, so I couldn't pass it up. Once received I fell in love with the feel of the materials, how light the entire sling is, and the quality stitching, . However upon attaching it to my rifles my thoughts began to change. The tri-glide quick transition tab, isn't that quick. When letting out slack, yes, very quick. When taking in slack it sometimes bunches up or twists in the tri-glide. Aside from looks, I bought these for fast functioning transitions. Also, the QD buckle that attaches to the hand guard is nice because it prevents it from over twisting, but sometimes I wish It could turn a few degrees more.
Pros:
  • light weight
  • great features
  • Great materials
  • Great look - appealing
Cons:
  • Thin Padding
  • functions terrible
Best Used for:
  • safe queens
  • Super light rifles

Low profile sling

by Ulfberht, from ID, United States Written on December 10, 2017
Functional as a sling. Has a lower profile than my vtac padded sling. Sling allows for play to be let out with no problem, not as smooth on when you go to set it back to the previous length but that will probably loosen up with use. Would say you are probably paying a little extra for the brand but overall it functions and feels like a quality sling.
