Good scope but in my opinion not for gas piston air rifle - Hawke Sport HD IR 3-9x40 AO Rifle Scope, Mil-Dot reticle

I do not doubt Hawke scopes are excellent. However, my personal experience with two of them has been negative. Neither will hold zero after a week of usage. I would sight it in on one target and when I moved to the next one it will star shooting erratically. I would sight it in again and got the same results. I tried everything, new and stronger rings, optically center the scope. I cleaned my Umarex Octane .22 cal. I starting doubting the gun and had a trigger job done to it. Same result, then I started doubting myself so I had some friend verify my experience with the same results. In conclusion, in my opinion, Hawke scopes have a long way to go when it comes to gas piston air rifles.
Pros: Excellent glass, very clear and sharp. Good, very good looking scope
Cons: Scope does come with rings. Finish is not the quality I expected
