Airmax 4-12x40ao seems to be springer proof! - Hawke Sport Optics Airmax EV 4-12x40mm Rifle Scopes 1in Tube Second Focal Plane

I mounted this scope on my RWS 48 using a UTG droop compensating weaver style base. This recoil of this rifle has destroyed a lot of scopes over the years. I decided to try this new and improved Airmax scope because of the good reviews I had read and the good reputation of the Hawke brand. So far, after 250-300 shots no issues and no change in zero. On the other scopes I had used I would often see an unexplained change in zero or worst a total failure of the internal lens in under 100 shots. The etched glass reticle appears to be much stronger than the wire reticles of my old scopes. The reticle itself is perfect for airgunning when used with the Hawke Chairgun ballistic software for precise long range shooting. The optics of this scope are clear and bright. The AO works and the range marking appear accurate. In short, I am very happy with this purchase and value it represents for the money. If this scope continues to perform on my springer as it has it will be the last scope for my RWS 48!
