Great reticle; terrible clicks - Hawke Sport Optics Endurance 30 6-24x50 Rifle Scope 30mm Tube Second Focal Plane

My intended use for this scope was in XTC Highpower rifle competition [in the Tactical Rifle category]

I loved the reticle - duplex crosshairs draw the eye to the center dot. At all except the very highest level of illumination, the center dot had no flare - very nice! Just looking through the scope, it appeared to be very clear. At the highest magnification, you could definitely see it had lost some clarity, but was still very usable.

The reason for the two stars was the clicks are very light and mushy and in the limited experience had at least 1 dead click. While light and mushy are never a desirable feature, in XTC it's a killer when you have to adjust the knobs while in position. When in sitting or prone, the knobs are about a foot from your eye. With the rather small numbers on the knobs, it becomes highly unreliable knowing how many clicks you've put on.
