Sport hd ir 3x9 rimfire - Hawke Sport Optics Sport HD 3-9x40 Rifle Scope

I just finished my first day with this scope. To say the least I wasn't impressed. I mounted this on a ruger 10/22 with a 20" Green Mountain fluted barrel with a volquartsen trigger and bolt. The scope was mounted using a Wheeler level and torque wrench. First off the cross hairs are too small and hard to see. When I started trying to fine tune my groups the adjustments weren't precise. It was shooting 1" to the left I adjusted it 6 clicks or 3/4" to the right the next group was 1 1/2" to the right. The same happened with the up and down adjustments. I whished Id bought a better scope.
