Good, but not perfect - Hawke Sport Optics Vantage 2-7x32mm Rifle Scope 1in Tube Second Focal Plane

I've had this scope for a while now, but just recently noticed that at the highest magnification, I cannot get the reticle and the target both into focus at distances out to 50 yards. At the lower magnifications, or at longer distances, I cannot notice any significant issues. The scope has not been dropped or abused in any way. I have been searching my memory trying to determine whether this was always the case, or is a new problem.

The scope impressed me when first purchased, being well built, with very good glass for the price. The reticle is nice and simple, just the way I like it. The magnification ring was a bit stiff initially, but broke in with time and use. I liked it well enough to buy two more Hawke optics for my other .22 rifles, both of which have adjustable objectives, so parallax and focus issues are nonexistent.
