StraightShooter's Review of Hazard 4 Longshot Long-Gun Bag
It took a very long time for me to find the bag I wanted. I'm pretty sure I looked at every soft-sided case available. Having seen Hazard 4 products in a retail store years ago, and recalling the quality of their products, I decided to check their website to see if they offered a soft-sided carry case for my AR15. Granted this bag will fit larger rifles. I knew I didn't want a bag that held multiple guns. Even though this bag will, it is more so setup to carry one rifle. There are 2 sides to this case, not a thin divider that separates sides, 2 actual full sized zippered compartments. The most important thing I was looking for in a bag was that it needed to have a way of securing my rifle with little allowed movement.(believe it or not this was the biggest challenge I found when looking at other bags). The side that is intended to hold you firearm comes with Molle webbing and 2 extremely durable velcro straps(about 2 1/2" wide) that you can custom-place within the webbing to fit your firearm nearly perfectly. I use one to strap over my rail, and the other at the receiver end of my butt stock. My rifle does not move period. The side opposite my rifle comes with 8 Velro'd pouches. 6 that will fit 1 30 rnd. AR mag each, and 2 over-sized pouches that will fit a cleaning kit, small paper targets, you name it. In between all of these pouches is a 10" by 10" area of Molle webbing. The final compartment is at the center/side of the case. Another very well thought out storage compartment. Here you have pouches for pistol mags, and other smaller items. The case does come with a shoulder strap. While it is made of quality material it could use a little padding. If there's one are where the bag falls short it would be the strap. However, you can order an adjustable strap pad that is intended to be used with this strap. I did and and paid about $10 for it online. You can also order the rifle tie-down straps for approximately $5 if you want extra support for your rifle or another object you'd like to secure inside the case. I will say this is by far the best soft-sided carry case that I have seen and I'm pretty sure I've seen them all. You can tell when you see something that's quality and well thought-out. This case is just that and more. Way to go Hazard 4!
