Matt White's Review of HERA Arms CQR AR-15 Stock System
Hera Arms has done some fancy marketing, but seemed to lack somewhat in actual product. The plastic seam on the stock looked great on top, but wasn't what I would call quality on the bottom. The pic rail on the bottom left something to be desired, I would be hard pressed to trust attaching something to it. The install itself is a bit of a pain, so let me tell you now, you will NEED a ball ended allen wrench to install it effectively. If you pull the stock apart, it really looks like with some design work, they could have made it able to take both carbine and rifle buffers or made some of the parts adjustable in terms of extending butt pad and/or cheek pad. This seems like a product that looks beautiful on paper, but in reality is somewhat lackluster due to a designer half-assing it just to get it out and make money off of it. It works as designed, so I can't give it less than three stars, but it need to be further developed to get anything higher than that.
Normally when I see something is engineered by Germans, I assume a certain level of quality. I'm not entirely sure this didn't come out of China.
