Scout....no further!!! - Hi-Lux Optics MK II Long Eye Relief 2-7x32mm 1 inch Tube Rifle Scope, Second Focal Plane

Let me preface this by stating that I HAVE NOT MOUNTED this scope yet so have no idea how its going to actually work under fire. I do however have a Hi-Lux on another rifle and it performs great!
I am working on building a Scout platform rifle After lots of research, watching numerous Gun Tubers I narrowed the choice down to a couple of optics and the Hi-Lux had a very very slight edge So it basically boiled down to which I was going to be able to score the cheapest( more bullets/more practice!!) More on price in a bit. The Hi-Lux won out and I ordered it. When it arrived I was immediately impressed with the build quality and finish on the scope... very clean and I couldn't find a thing to critique. The glass quality was great. The magnification ring ,parallax and turret all worked great. So far as I could tell in the living room a great scope!!
The price and Optics Planet. I just happened to catch a great sale on the scope when I decided to purchase it so it became a no brainer. Optics Planet runs some hellacious sales and specials and when you find those, there already low prices become even more attractive hard to pass!! Shipping was fast and efficient( as always) and the scope was packaged nice and secure to avoid shipping damage(as always) Oh I almost forgot the illumination( I chose green) like the rest that I checked no issues. Several levels(six) and they all worked great and should make for some good shooting in various lighting!
In closing, why only 4 stars? Because I haven't actually used it under pressure and I just cant justify five until then..
