Alex's Review of HIPERFIRE HIPERTOUCH 24 Competition AR Fire-Control Group w/Straight Trigger, 2.5/3.5lb Pull Weight

I have three Hiperfire triggers, one of which is the newer version like what's being sold here. I will say they are great triggers in terms of feel and function. I use two of them on AR9's because of how reliable they seem to be for that finicky platform. So far, I've had absolutely zero issues with them reliability or function wise. I give them 4 stars however because they are absolutely the hardest triggers to install that I've used. I've installed about a dozen triggers including Geiselle, LaRue, & Triggertech and they've all gone in in 5-10 minutes, if that. Even my last milspec trigger was easier than this last Hiperfire I installed. If you don't get the hammer assembly clicked in just PERFECTLY, the pin is an absolute bear to get in the receiver. I don't know what it is but the alignment of the hammer pin channel and receiver holes is just very difficult to achieve. Oddly enough, the last one I installed went in without a hitch in about 15 minutes but this last one left a bad taste in my mouth.

All in all, they're great performing triggers, but I don't think I'll buy another simply because of how much of a pain this last one was. Unless you're buying for an AR9, there are plenty of other good options that drop in quite effortlessly.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Can be hard to install
