Pookie's Review of OpticsPlanet Exclusive HIPERFIRE HIPERTOUCH Blue Line Special Edition AR-15/10 Trigger Assembly

I decided to try this trigger on my last AR-15 build because I had heard good things about them and I loved the idea of supporting our LEO. I installed the trigger without any issues, but the safety would not engage. In fact, the tumbler on the safety would not move, so I uninstalled the trigger group, and pulled out the safety selector. I was disappointed, because it was the F-1 ambi selector, and I really liked the look and feel of it. Wrongly assuming that the F-1 part was the issue, I installed a stock safety selector and reinstalled the trigger group. Same problem. So I sent online to see if others had had this problem or if I had a faulty part. So, after a waste of a morning and way too much frustration, I learned that Hiperfire assemblies are NOT compatible with MANY well-known brand-name parts. Hiperfire will gladly sell you their ambi safety selector for another $50 though. So buyer beware and check the online forums BEFORE you buy. OR better yet, buy a trigger group from someone who plays nice with other parts. After all, the AR-15 is the lego of guns. Why reward bad behavior? It baffles me that in this day and age any company would NOT support interoperability on all levels. Extremely disappointed. RETURNED. Will never buy another Hiperfire.
Pros:

Cons:
  • Unimpressive
  • Incompatible with many popular parts
