I've been shooting competitively for over a decade, nationals, world, finals, USPSA, 3-gun, IDPA, you name it, millions of rounds down range, I've seen a lot of stuff come and go, sponsors come and go, and had more AR triggers than I can throw a stick at. For the longest time I ran factory fitted JP triggers (not the EZ trigger). I've broken a CMC as good as it was while it lasted, but never a fan of cassette triggers, and the only drop in trigger to ever impress me was Geiselle S3G. And then out of nowhere came hyperfire. At first I thought it was a gimmick trigger, but won one off a prize table. So I slapped it in a side build, and low and behold was dumbfounded by its break.

Here is the thing a lot of folks don't understand about AR triggers... they have slow hammers. From the moment the trigger breaks to ignition is more than double that of a remington 700 bolt gun. This means your pulling your shots before they ever ignite and leave the barrel. So the trick to shooting an AR with precision is consistently pulling the shots the same place, which takes a lot of practice to master. And making an AR trigger lighter by changing springs actually makes the ignition even slower. JP was one of the first companies to put out a speed hammer which moved the heavy mass of the hammer lower so the ignition force wouldn't be lost, and the lock time was faster.... But still had the issue when you got the trigger down, the lock time was considerably slow.

Hyperfire added a robust dual ignition springs on the hammer, and by far has the fastest lock time of any trigger on the market. I did a little non-scientific experiment with the same gun, over magnified scope, and same ammo, doing bench groups and just changing out triggers, and the only one to show a significant difference was the hyperfire.

The ECL is basically just the 24C with NP3 treatment. NP3 is SLICK... slicker and longer lasting than teflon. Anyway, my experience the 24C has a little break in period where everything mates up and the springs set. You end up with like a 2 and some change pound trigger. I've actually yet to break one or need replacement springs either. But right out of the package the ECL feels ball bearing smooth. Like two plates of glass with oil between them sliding across smooth.

There literally is no smoother, faster, lighter, shorter reseting trigger on the market than the Hyperfire ECL... Whether is a precision rifle where you need the lock time speed, or a 3-gun build where you need the splits, this is the one best option. Everything else is literally second rate compared to it. Guys can argue as much as they want, but by design it has a significant advantage in all aspects.
