Hogue floating barrel handguard - Hogue AR-15/M-16 Knurled Aluminum OAL 3 Gun Free Float Forend Extension

This a nice piece of hardware but it was not described well enough for me to see it wouldn't fit my rifle. After talking to Hogue, it only fits their barrel nut and not the standard barrel nut. I tried to buy their barrel nut so I could use it and they said they don't sell barrel nuts.
Hogue offered to exchange it but not knowing it didn't match my threads, I attempted to install it and slightly bared the threads making it not returnable. "Buyer Beware" .experience, I guess
