It locks in tightly when you twist the base. Its also sealed and it would stay dry in the rain. I like the fact that it has tools you wouldn't necessarily find in a standard Leatherman type tool, since that is commonly carried.
On the flip side, it would add a few ounces to a standard grip and the cable was somewhat difficult to fold back up to re-insert into the grip.
