The factory Contour grips just don't fit my hand. I wear a large size glove. The ridges bite into my fingers and that got annoying.
The Hogue grips are an alternative. They are flat though. They make the grip much smaller and there is no texture. They are OK if the factory grips really do not work for you. Just OK.
After trying them for a bit, I am now back to the factory grips but I have dremeled away the finger ridges. Seems better but not ideal.
There are just not many options for URX grips. It's too bad.
