Highly recommended for magnum revolvers. Helps absorb some of the felt recoil with a spongy type of rubber on the rear of the grip, where the recoil tends to transfer to the web of the hand. Good quality. Good installation instructions made the job easy. The finger grooves aid in the grip of the handgun. I will place this grip on my other magnum handgun.

Works Great

I finally had a chance to shoot my 454 Casull with this grip. I was leary of firing hot loads but there was no pain or grief since the grips absorbed the recoil from this big kicker. It was easy for me to install it. It fit perfectly and as I mentioned it does its job well as has been my experience with all Hogue products.

Houge Monogrip Tamer

Did a better job than I expected. Afforded a more positive grip on the revolver, for quicker and more accurate shots.
The Tamer grip afforded a softer feel thus relieving recoil strain. Good product.

Ruger should make this standard

The grip fit perfectly on my Redhawk 44 magnum. The recoil is much less pronounced with this grip and it is more comfortable in the hand. I would highly recommend this as an alternative to the wood grips and the monogrip is more weather resistant and takes a lot more abuse.

No More Pain

I installed the grip on my GP100 Match Champion. The original wood grip was hurting my hand to the point where I couldn't shoot anymore. After installing the Hogue Monogrip Tamer no more pain. Now I can shoot with the hottest loads all day long. This has been a very wise purchase. I highly recommend the product.

Hogue Grips the best!

Whenever I acquire a new (or newer) handgun, I make it my habit to put away the fancy wood grips and purchase a set of Hogue rubber grips for target practice. Years ago I used Pachmayr grips, but Hogue is the best you can find today.
