Great feel, sound - Hogue Overmold Rifle Stocks Ruger 10/22 Bull Barrel 22010

Hogue makes another quality product...I like the look, feel and sound of this stock. My purpose was to build a tactical stealthy 10/22 and this stock fits that purpose better than any others that I could find. The soft rubber has no reflective surface and actually seems to absorb action sounds that the wooden and plastic stocks would not. My application also uses a poly-bolt buffer. I use this with a Tactical Solutions fluted bull barrel witch looks and works great. The barrel is finished in flat black so it matches the stock beautifully.

My application includes UTG quad rail that doesn't not completely fit over the stock. The stock is considerably wider at the forend than the factory stocks so the bottom rail will not fit on to attach to the top portion of the rail, making it a tri-rail instead of a quad-rail. Apparently some have altered the stock by cutting it to make the quad rail fit. Too nice of a stock IMO to do that, so I'll just live with it for now, but it would be nice to be able to secure the rail with the bottom piece. Also, the barrel does not fit perfectly, but close. This may be solved with trial and error adjustments.
Pros: lightweight, non-reflective surface, snug fits, price
Cons: slightly larger dimensions than factory stock, not so easily customized
