This sight was purchased (as usual) from OpticsPlanet which seems to be one of the best sources for these sights (taking price, selection, sales, coupons and earned points all into consideration)! I went with this sight mainly because so far there are no Holosun SCS variants yet for the Springfield Armory XD-M Elite 3.8in 10mm OSP pistol. The simple green dot is really all that is required to put dot on target. I own at least two other Holosun sights and this falls right in line with these others I've procured from OpticsPlanet and another (the SCS) that came installed on my HK VP9 handgun. The sights are tough, adjustable, and ready immediately (shake-awake) upon grasping each firearm they are installed on. I've made the minor adjustments in zeroing them at the range. They stay zeroed after subsequent visits to the range. One thing I've learned about cleaning one's weapon with these sights on. There are rubber hoods (available from Amazon at reasonable prices) to place over the entire Holosun sight to prevent chemical splatter from getting on the lens of the sights during weapon cleaning! Saves LOTS of time cleaning the lens afterwards. Anyway, I've come to rely on these Holosun sights. I haven't needed to change any batteries yet, but when it does come time, it will be a simple process since the battery access is on the side eliminating any need to remove sight from weapon! Good quality sight! Most modern MOS pistols have the adaptor plates for Holosun red/green dot sights available or included with each pistol.
