Paul Jennings's Review of Holosun OPMOD HS507C-X2 1x Reflex Red Dot Sight
I've got 3 of these now mounted on a Sig 5" X-Ten, an M&P 4" 10mm, and a PSA Dagger Full Size S (Glock 19x clone). All 3 have been very solid and have maintained zero even under the recoil of full power 10mm loads on both the Sig & M&P. The 507C-X2 uses an RMR footprint. I mounted them on the Sig X-Ten & the M&P 10mm using C&H Precision plates, and they are very securely mounted. I was used to using just a dot reticle with my RMR mounted on my M9A4. However, after trying the different reticle options on the 507C-X2, I've found that i really like utilizing the circle dot reticle. Which, for me, has greatly increased the speed at which i pick up the reticle from drawing the guns. And i also like that if i ever feel like going back to just a dot reticle, I can simply change the reticle without switching to a different optic. The side load battery is definitely superior to the bottom loaded method of the RMR. I haven't used the auto dimming option as I prefer to manually adjust the brightness. I will say that although I doubt the Holosun can take the amount of abuse that the RMR is famous for, I really doubt 99% of people will have any issues with durability from the Holosun. Not to mention, the Holosun 507c-X2 is half of the price of a basic RMR with twice the features and probably 90% as durable. And if you catch it on sale, it really becomes that much more of a fantastic deal for a great optic.
