The product itself is a great device. I guess it all depends on what you use it for. I have two outdoor probes. One for outside and one for in my greenhouse. Be mindful of where and how you hang the probe because you can get false readings. I used a commercial digital thermometer that I borrowed...I checked and the device was less than 1/2 of one degree off when compared to the $250 one I compared it with. The directions to the different functions...well lets just say you will pretty much have to sort a lot of it out on your own. Once you figure it out though its not bad at all. I would (and have) recommended it already to several friends. One downside that I don't like is that the alarm function is set for all channels. I haven't figured out how to (or if you can) make the alarm function on channel 1 and not the others. If I want to set an alarm for say 45 degrees in the greenhouse...well as soon as the outdoors temp hits 45 degrees the thing is beeping. For the price though, it is a great little gadget. If I were truly looking for some extremely accurate or more comprehensive weather information I would fork out more money for a bigger system...but for my purposes and to tell the basic temp it works like a charm.
Pros: Works great for general use
Cons: Directions in the box are unclear, alarm is one size fits all
