Slipperier than gun oil - Hoppe's 9 Gun Grease Box

So, I bought this a long time ago. It sat in my gun cleaning bag unused until a week or two ago.

I regularly clean and oil my guns with other Hoppe's products ... and, I like those products. But, racking my Glock 34 slide always seemed to have more drag/friction between the slide and the frame than my other pistols. (Please note, my G34 is very reliable. This friction has only bothered me, not the gun.)

A couple weeks ago, after cleaning and oiling (including the slide rails) my G34, I put a (spaghetti) thin 1" long stripe of this gun grease on a clean tooth brush and brushed it into the rails on my G34. Next time I shot my G34, it seemed to be easier to rack the slide. But, that could have been confirmation bias.

So, last week, after cleaning and oiling (including the slide rails) my G34 I reassembled it BEFORE applying any gun grease. Then I racked the slide a few times, disassembled it again, brushed this gun grease into the slide rails, reassembled it ... and, racked the slide a few more times ... Eureka! This gun grease cut my perceived slide friction noticeably ... maybe a third or more.

I suspect that it would cut friction more than my regular gun oil anywhere parts rub together. Next time, maybe I'll pull out my Trigger Bar and grease the side that rubs against the frame.
