Snake works well - Hoppe's 9 BoreSnake Gun Cleaning Kit

Simply put: The boresnake works well to clean the bore. I usually soak the front end of the snake in solvernt and then pull the snake through the bore between 2 to 5 times. Careful: If there is lots of residue in the bore, you will end up with black dirt speckles on the floor.....
I like that the little pouch includes the solvent and oil. It also leaves room for single oil wipes and/or an additional small rag. To me, it is the perfect 'road' cleaning kit. I do, however, prefer to apply the oil with a patch using a rod. I personally think wiping the bore down with an oiled patch leaves more protection than pulling the tight snake through. Additionally, I don't like mixing solvent and oil on the same snake.
Pros: Easy to use, includes solvent, has room for additional small rag
Cons: Applying oil to the barrel works better with a patch
