Knox's Review of Hornady Click-Adjust Bullet Seating Micrometer
Other than the Audible Clicks, Numeric Information is being labeled CORRECTLY this time. It's not better than the Original Hornady One. To see a visual Comparison, look up Hornady MicroJust Seating Stem Hornady # 044090.
This will now be my THIRD Hornady # 044097 Click Adjust Seating Tool. The first one did not keep consistency from the first cartridge to the fourth cartridge. Sent it back, (MidSouth Shooter Supply) after receiving the second one. I sent the second one back the same day it arrived because the 'H' (zero) WAS NOT CENTER to the ZERO BLACK line on the shaft. This one here from Optics Planet will be my third one of these Hornady # 044097 Click Adjust Bullet Seating Micrometer tools. I'm here to tell you right now, that this one doesn't keep a consistent setting. You may be wondering what I mean. We were seating some freedom seeds into some .223 brass. We had it dialed/locked to give us a 2.20" C.O.L. length. Now I'm not talking about getting 2.19" or 2.21". Legit I'm talking about 2.20", 2.13", 2.19", 2.24", 2.20" etc... Now keep in mind how many times we had to dial up or dial back down. We expected to have it set, be able to run seeds, and get only a slight variance between the runs. I have pictures, emails, plus everything else to prove this is now my 3rd one. It's just like the others.
