Gemma's Review of Hornady Lock-N-Load .50 BMG Single Stage Press Kit
Poor Quality control from hornady. Had to order replacement parts for stripped out threads before I could even use machine. Company was good about replacement! Very touchy seating depth and crimp die because you have to keep changing settings for every cartridge. Ruined several cases and bullets each time I reloaded. If crimp die is 16th of a turn to much case and bullet are junk. It's an issue when each component is so expensive. I realize cost of a progressive press , where you can set dies and not have to keep adjusting every cartridge, is quite a bit more expensive but if I had it to do over that is what I would Recommend. I have three other presses. Get dies set and never have to move them again unless bullet specs are changed.
Pros:
Price
Cons:
Not user friendly
Best Used for:
very limited use
