This is an excellent round for longer distance plinking. I use it primarily for hunting prairie dogs and it is superb in that venue, fast, accurate and flat trajectory. The ballistic tip promotes expansion which provides a good result in small game hunting. The only drawback is powder residue in the barrel that can effect accuracy at some point. Running a brush those the barrel returns to the expected accuracy.
Pros:
- Fast, accurate and lower cost for longer range shooting than larger caliber.
Cons:
- Leaves quite a bit of powder residue so brushing barrel occasionally helps accuracy.
Best Used for:
- Plinking longer distance and small game.
